James "Jimmie" Maynard II

Jimmie passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at his home with his father and caregiver by his bedside. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of the late Joyce Ann Bolden Maynard and James Larry Maynard who survives.

Jimmie worked with Vocational Trades for several years. He spent many happy hours reading and studying the Bible with the aide of Biblical illustrations. Jimmie went to the English Graham Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with his parents and other Kingdom Halls before that  all his life. He never met a stranger and made friends easily and never forgot them. Jimmie always had a smile on his face and loved people. He loved animals and spending time enjoying Jehovah’s creation and taking trips to the beach. He spent many happy hours fishing and watching basketball, especially the UNC “Tarheels”.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 2PM  on Zoom  due to Covid restrictions at this time. The Zoom link is located below the obit as a live stream feed. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the English Graham Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 202 Webster Road, Graham, NC 27253.
