James "Jim" Braddy

James “Jim” Hampton Braddy, 72, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family.  Jim was the devoted husband of Esqurido B. Braddy and the awesome dad of Jeff, Tim, and Kevin Braddy.  Jim was born on November 22, 1947, in Alamance County to the late Robert “Bob” Rice Braddy and Annie Laurie Moser Braddy, and was the husband of 54 years to Esqurido Bradsher Braddy who survives.

Jim retired after 43½ years with Bellsouth and countless hours on the Braddy Farm.  He loved living in Frisco, NC and enjoyed fishing with family and friends.  He also loved driving and simply sitting on “his” beach, toes in the sand and a cold beverage in his hand.  Jim was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors other than his wife, Esqurido, include his sons, Jeffrey “Jeff” Braddy and wife Sonya, Timothy “Tim” Braddy, Kevin Braddy and wife Julie; grandchildren, Alyssa, Meredith, Lelia, and Wade Braddy; brothers, Robert “Bob” Braddy and wife Connie, Rev. David Braddy and wife Angie, Billy Braddy and wife Debbie; sisters, Liz Bean and husband Allen, Martha Laws and husband Rick.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Annie Laurie; and brothers, Steven and Michael Braddy.

The family will be celebrating Jim’s life on Friday, June 19, 2020 with a gathering and a reception at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and at other times at the residence.
