James Shaw

Gibsonville-James "Harvey" Shaw, 69 died peacefully on September 21, 2016. Loving husband, father, Pawpaw, brother and friend to many.
Harvey Graduated from Southeast High School, served in the Army, ran Harvey's Upholstery, was an avid collector of antique toys and was also known as "Santa" to many. Harvey and Jennie were foster parents to many children in the Alamance County area over the years.
Survived by: Wife, Jennie A. Shaw; Children Jaime Cook, husband Tony; Joseph Shaw and fiancée, Nancy Elkins; Jennifer Shaw; Terri Shaw; Misty King and the grandchildren Cloe, Christian, Austin, Ayden, Elijah, Kaylin, Liam, Aubrey, Braylen; Brother, Randall Shaw and wife, Patricia; Sisters: Patsy Meacham and husband, Bruce; Polly Rich and husband, Tom; Peggy Teague and Jan Cook as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was proceeded in death by his parents James Bingham (JB) Shaw and Edna Heath Shaw
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11: 00 am at Brick Church in Burlington NC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Medical Center Boulevard, Winston Salem, NC 27157 or Brick Church Memorial Association, 3699 Brick Church Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
