James Rose, Jr.

James E. “Sput” Rose, Jr., 57, of Burlington passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Sput was born in Danville, VA to the late James E. Rose, Sr. and Hazel Holley Rose.

He was a mechanic and welder by trade and loved riding his Harley and playing his guitar.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Darla Simpson of the home; brothers, Sammy Rose and wife, Annette, and Scott Rose; nephews, Dylan Rose (Kelly Mann), Hunter and Hayden Rose; niece, Sherry Johnson (Derek); great nieces, Bailey and Mia Johnson; and grandmother, Anna Rose.  He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Tina Rose.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jonathan Graves.  The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8 PM Friday.  At other times the family will be at the home of Sammy and Annette Rose.
