James Ritchie

James Wesley “Rusty” Ritchie, 66, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Alamance County and was the son of the late William Garland and Gladys Jernigan Ritchie.

Rusty was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam war serving aboard the USS Saginaw and he was also proud to serve as a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years.  He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.

He is survived by his son, William Ritchie and wife Nikki; six grandchildren, October, Mackenzie, Corbin, Isabella, Harper and Lexie Ritchie.  He was preceded in death by his parents and half-sister, Pat Leckie.

A graveside service will be held on 3:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2021 Alamance Memorial Park by Dr. Terry Pritchard.
