Greensboro-James Terry Osborne, Jr., 57, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016. He was a native of Carteret County and the husband of 14 years to Wanda Pegram Osborne who survives.
James was a US Air Force veteran and retired as an engineer with the Department of Defense from the Cherry Pointe Air Station. He also served for 8 years as a deputy with the Carteret County Sheriff's department and was a member of Beaufort Baptist Church. James was an avid golfer and enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Pegram Osborne of the home; son, Aaron Osborne of Raleigh; step daughters, Tonya Robertson and husband, Travis of Snow Camp and Amber Capps of Graham; five grandchildren, Aidan, Alexis, Bryce, Gabriel and Emily; father, James Terry Osborne, Sr. of New Bern and mother, Frances Osborne of Beaufort, NC.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Kevin Barber and Pastor Joe Frierson. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Salisbury National Cemetery.
