James Harold Loy, 88, of 3849 Dr. Pickett Rd. died on Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Alamance County, son of the late Robert Earl and Ida Holt Loy and was married to Montie McLendon Loy, who survives. Harold was a former employee of Kayser-Roth Hosiery and later retired from Crompton-Knowles Corporation. Mr. Loy was a faithful and dedicated member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dan Rutland of Franklin, TN; son, Doug Loy and Carol Jones of Haw River; grandson, Jason Fogleman of Tenn.; brothers; Dewitt Loy, Warren Loy, Robert Earl Loy, Wade Loy all of Burlington, and Edward Loy of Mooresville; sister, Elizabeth Combs of Burlington, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Donald Loy. The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Friendship United Methodist Church by Rev. Al Horne, Rev. Bill Boykin, and Rev. Jimmy Burks. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
