Burlington-James Redford "Jimmy" Hilliard, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Randolph County to the late Vernon Nathaniel and Elizabeth Annie Mahone Hilliard who survives. He was the husband of 40 years to Debra "Debbie" Roberts Hilliard who survives.
Jimmy was the owner and operator for 30 years of Jimmy's Locksmith. He was a faithful member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church and a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Hilliard of the home; daughter, Sonya Shelton and grandchildren, Cody and Nathan; mother, Elizabeth Annie Hilliard and a brother, Vernon Nathaniel Hilliard, Jr.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for their kind and compassionate care.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 2:00PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Brandon Rouse. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45PM on Wednesday prior to the funeral and other times at the home. The US Air Force will provide military honors at the conclusion of the service. A private burial will be held for the family at Pine Hill Cemetery.
