Mebane, NC James Franklin "Jimmy" Halacheff, Jr. 50, of 2657 A Bermuda Trail passed away Friday, October 24, 2008 in Alamance County. Jimmy was born December 15, 1957 in Hampton, Virginia to James F. "Jim" Halacheff, Sr. and Lynn Crenshaw Halacheff. Survivors other than his parents include his wife, Cheryl Gerringer Halacheff of the home; a son, Jimmy Lee Halacheff of Burlington; two sisters, Judy Turner and her husband Eddie of Burlington and Tonya Halacheff of Mebane; and three nephews. A funeral service will be held 2: 00 P.M. Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Terry Creech. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home. We know of the pain you felt all the time, we know why you always walked a fine line. The hard exterior so rough, tough and mean, hid the love that you left unseen. You kept your heart hidden and packed away, hiding from the pain you felt everyday. The wind in your face, the freedom you had, on your final ride, a ride that has left us so sad. If you had to go, there was no better way, than doing what you loved to do everyday. Sweet baby James was the name they gave you, your life and your memory will always shine through. You lived it hard, and you lived it fast, time to go home, time for you to rest at last.
