James McCall

James Edward McCall, 68 passed away Sunday April 14, 2013 at Home after a short battle with lung cancer. He was the husband of Kathy Somers McCall and was born July 12, 1944 in Atlanta, GA to the late Jake Mitchell and Julia Spence McCall. James had retired from the print shop at Elon University. He enjoyed yard work and was an avid racing fan, very seldom missed a race at Ace Speedway with his son. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter Casey Chrisco and her husband David of Reidsville, a son Michael McCall and his wife Michelle of Graham, grandchildren; Katie Chrisco, Cody Perry, Kyle Chrisco, Brianna McCall, Caitlyn McCall, a great grandchild Hayden Jones, a brother William McCall of Burlington and a sister Linda Sarver of Haw River. There will be a graveside service 2:00 PM Wednesday at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
