James Chapman

James William Chapman, age 87, of Crockett previously of Burlington, North Carolina passed away August 13, 2017 in Crockett, TX. James was born July 4, 1930 in High Point, NC to parents, W. C. Chapman and Maggie Hedrick Chapman. He retired as a machinest working in shipyards for many years. James was an avid coin collector, wood worker and he and his wife, Lena loved to travel.
James is survived by step-daughter, Cynthia Trahan and husband, Perry of Cypress, TX, step-son, Charles Lirette and wife, Kerry of Holly Springs, MS; sister, Esther Terrell of Burlington, NC; numerous loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by wife, Lenora Chapman, wife, Lena Chapman; sisters, Dorothy Chapman Howell, Naomi Chapman Ashley, Ruth Chapman Gillispie; brother, Donald Chapman.
Family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home in Burlington, NC with burial at Alamance Memorial Park at 12 noon.
