James Bass

James "Jim" Milton Bass, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Hospice Home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Parrish, AL on September 29, 1927 to the late Samuel Milton and Katie Gertrude Fondren Bass and was the wife of 67 years to Ruth Jean Marvel Bass of the home. Jim retired from SCI systems as the plant engineer and attended People's Memorial Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of the home; sons, David Bass and wife Carol of Raleigh, NC, Donald W. Bass and wife Evelyn of Wesley Chapel, FL, Jeffrey Bass and wife Cindy of Soddy-Daisy, TN; eight grandchildren, Heather Tear David, Kevin Bass Stefanie, Don Bass II, Aaron Bass, Suzanne Monk Ryan, Jordan Bass, Julie Robertson Ryan, Andrew James Bass Valarie; three great grandchildren, Trinity Robertson, Elijah Robertson and Parker Monk. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mona Chasteen and a half-brother, Henry McDaniel. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
