Jacqueline Jones

Mrs. Jacqueline Duke "Jackie" Jones, 82, formerly of Greensboro, died Saturday, February 28 after several months of failing health. Born in Guilford county, she was the daughter of the late Otis Wellons Duke and the late Estelle McGee Duke and was married to the late Luther Lawrence Jones, who died in 1969. Jackie was a former nurse at Wesley Long Hospital, served in the Nurse Cadet Corp in WWII and was of the Methodist Faith. Jackie was survived by her daughter, Judy Jones Powell of Whitsett; a son, Lawrence Jones and his wife, Cyd, of Stoneville, NC; and a grandson, Jonathan L. Powell. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be a private graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the visitation.
