Burlington, NC Jack Wilburn Ursery, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Hospice Home. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 61years to Mary Ella Barbee Ursery who survives. Jack retired from Glen Raven Mills and attended New Hope Baptist Church. Jack served in the US Navy during WW II in the European Theatre. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of the home; daughter, Donna Troutman of the home and a son, Gary Wayne Ursery of Gibsonville; grandsons, Christopher Wayne Ursery and Michael Shane Troutman; great grandson, Christopher Dakota Ursery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm Howard and Bessie Pearl Ursery; sisters, Bessie Pearl Ursery, Bessie Mae Johnson and Mary Coggins and a brother, Malcolm Ursery. The funeral service will be on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Hobbs and the burial will follow at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church Cemetery in Graham with military honors provided by the US Navy. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
