Jack Roberts

Burlington - Jack H. Roberts, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, October 6, 2017. He was born in Winston Salem on April 17, 1928 to the late James Hobert and Clois Eva Weatherman Roberts.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean Roberts, son, Ken Roberts and wife Gurland, daughter, Kathy Sturdevant and husband John and grandson, Adam Sturdevant.
Jack graduated from Gray High School in Winston-Salem and attended NC State University. He was a veteran serving in the US Navy and was employed with AT&T where he later retired. He was a member of Harvest Hills Church of God. One of his great loves in life was serving his Lord through numerous mission trips to Indian reservations both in America and Mexico. He also loved working in his woodworking shop making various gifts for others. He enjoyed spending time with his family and two dogs, Nicky and Suzy.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Harvest Hills Church of God by Dr. Russell Morris with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12pm-1:45pm prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Hills Church of God, 3110 Maple Ave, Burlington, NC 27215.
