Elon, NC Jack Henry Price, age 70, of Busick Quarry Road went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Union, South Carolina and the son of the Late Henry Otto Price and Sarah Earlene Hensley Price who survives. Jack was employed at Dorothy Dix Hospital for several years and later retired from Alamance Memorial Hospital as a juvenile counselor. He was a 1958 graduate of A O School and a longtime member of Cross Way Church formerly Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church. Jack served in his church by preparing meals and volunteering in various ministries. He also volunteered his time and talents at the Caring Kitchen. Jack was a friend to everyone he met and will be greatly missed by his family and the community. Survivors include his mother of the home; sister, Doris Harder and her husband, Allen of Burlington; brother, Ronnie G. Price and his wife, Linda of Elon; nieces, Beverly Harder Young and her husband, Tim of Burlington. Britt Price White and her husband, Rob of Greensboro; nephews, Allen Price Harder of Charlotte, Ron Price and his wife, Lisa of Raleigh and several great nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cross Way Church by pastor Garry Yeatts and assisted by Dr. Mike Johnson and the burial will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of his mother on Cherokee Drive in Altamahaw. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
