Ivora Patton

Burlington, NC Ivora Cook Patton, age 88, died on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at her home. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Thomas H. Patton, Jr. Ivora retired as a receptionist for Copeland Fabrics and she attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. She sang in several church choirs over the years and she loved spending time in the mountains. Survivors include her grandchildren, Tim Patton of Mebane and Denese Menard of California; great grandchildren, Hayden Menard, Olivia and Morgan Patton, Nickolas Patton; sister, Hazel Fern Jarrett of Graham; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Thomas Craig Patton and her parents, David Talmadge and Virgie Fowler Cook. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church by Rev. Powell Sykes. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
