Iva Hart

Mrs. Iva Sloan Hart of 615 Grace Ave. died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. A native of Harnett County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Burl T. Sloan and the late Ida Norris Sloan and was married to the late Clarence Edward Hart. Mrs. Hart was employed for many years by Sears and later retired from Ralph Scott Life Services. She was a longtime member of Northside Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hart is survived by a daughter-in-law; Sandra Hart; eight grandchildren, Mary Ann Sutton, Jeri Lynn Loy, Kevin May, Robert May, Cindy Sykes, Debbie Foster, Rebecca Hinsdale and Erica Johnson; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Carolyn May Hinson; son, Eric Clarence Hart; and a grandson, Vincent May. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Pine Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Jim Mitchell. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 Tuesday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home of Sandra Hart and Erica Johnson, 1308 Dogwood Dr., Gibsonville.
