Gibsonville, NC Irma Jean Hensley Moss Foust, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Lew "Bud" Clifton Hensley and Mattie Ingle Hensley. Irma retired from Lemco Hosiery and was a longtime member of Shallow Ford Christian Church. She enjoyed all styles of dancing and playing rook with her friends. Irma loved spending time with her family and she will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Angie M. Strange of Gibsonville and her sons, Gary L. Moss and his wife, Tammy of Carthage, Joel Dean Moss of Elon and Darryl D. Moss and his wife, Wendy of Reidsville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Irene "Sis" Halll and her husband, James of Elon; sister-in-laws, Betty Mae Hensley, Lucille Hensley and Mary Belle Hensley all of Elon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Moss; infant daughter, Tammy Moss; daughter-in-law, Cindy Moss and brothers, Vernon, Russell, Wade, L.A., Jake and Stock Hensley. The Moss family would like to thank Dr. Choksi and his staff at the Cancer Center and the nurses and staff of Hospice for their compassionate care of Irma. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Shallow Ford Christian Church by Dr. Sue Perry and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
