Irene Culbreth

Irene Sherrill Culbreth, 85, formerly of Pinecrest St. died on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Iredell County, daughter of the late Charles Avery Sherrill and the late Marie Bass Sherrill Goforth, and was married to the late Wilbur Shorty C. Culbreth. Mrs. Culbreth retired from the Burlington Industries Finishing Plant and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by her stepson, Bobby Culbreth and his wife Peggy of Simpsonville, SC: three step grandchildren; two nieces two nephews; several great nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Glen Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Redding and Rev. Bob Stephenson. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
