Inez Bradsher

Burlington, NC Mrs. Inez Revis Bradsher, age 88, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, October 2, 2011. Inez was the wife of the late William "Bill" Horace Bradsher. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Bradsher Patton and her parents, Robert Leon and Amy Laura Bumgarner Revis. A native of Sylva, NC, she graduated Valedictorian of her class and moved to Baltimore, MD with her sister, Georgia, where they worked on WWII air craft. After moving to Alamance County with her husband, she worked at Koury's Dress Shop in downtown Burlington. She retired at age 70 from her position as a Ward Secretary at Memorial Hospital in Burlington. She had a passion for gardening and will also be remembered for her culinary skills. Inez lived a life of quiet strength. Her words were timely and well spoken, offering compassion and comfort to those around her. She was an inspiration to all and a charter member of St Paul's Methodist church in Burlington. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Bradsher Jones; son-in-law, C. Richard "Dick" Patton; two granddaughters, Amy Patton Wilkinson and husband Trent, Julie Patton Colvard and husband Brad; four great-grandchildren, Carter and Avery Wilkinson, Taylor and Hannah Colvard; three sisters, Betty Taylor and her husband, Jim, Phoebe Hooper and Shirley Moses; two brothers, Johnny Revis and Olen Revis and his wife, Gail; and many devoted nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all. In addition to her husband, daughter and parents, Inez is preceded in death by her sister, Georgia Coltrane; five brothers, Howard, Paul, Bruce, Kenneth and Jack Revis . A service to celebrate the life of Inez Revis Bradsher will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lee Pittard, III of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Memorials may be mailed to St Paul's Methodist Church, 609 Trail Two, Burlington, NC 27215.
