Ida Gibson

Burlington, NC Ida James Gibson, 59, of 423 Maryland Ave went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 25, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Gibson was born September 26, 1948 in Rockingham, County to Lewis and Martha Perdue James. Ida worked for many years with Nova Flex Hose and was a member of Wicker Street Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Gary Lee Gibson of the home; a son, Kerry Gibson and his wife Brenda of Jacksonville, NC; two daughters, Teresa Terrell and her husband Shannon of Elon and Sherri Williams of Winston Salem; five grandchildren, Mallory Williams, Garrett Terrell, Grecia Terrell, Zoe Gibson, and Kenna Gibson; three brothers, Donnie James, Billy James, and Jimmy James all of Reidsville; and a sister, Sadie Surles of Reidsville. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Wicker Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery in Reidsville. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. The family would like to give a special thanks to her Hospice nurses Phoebe Jones and Kara Marshall.
