Hubert Marley

Hubert E. Lee Marley, age 81, of 3656 Clapp Mill Road passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 after several years of failing health.. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 59 years to Alice Phillippie Marley who survives. Hubert retired from Western Electric after 30 years and was a US Navy veteran of WW II. He enoyed sports and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Marley Stinnett and her husband, Ronald of Burlington; granddaughter and spouse, Karessa Stinnett Stewart and her husband, David of Burlington; grandson and spouse, Christopher Bryan Stinnett and his wife, Kim of Burlington; great grandson, Wesley Lee Stewart of Burlington; brother, Grover Marley of Liberty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Ida Chrisco Marley; sister, Velma Marley Johnson; brothers, Curtis, Herbert, Colon, Albert and Grady Marley. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Low's Lutheran Church Cemetery by Mr. Gerald Counts of Beacon Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
