Howard Kennedy

Burlington, NC Howard Duncan Kennedy, age 92, of Alamance Baptist Church Loop Road went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Hospice Home. He was a native of Moore County and the husband of the late Dora Wilma Saunders Kennedy. Howard retired from Kayser Roth after 37 years and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alamance. He was an avid gardner and he enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Kennedy Brumley of Burlington; grandson, Daniel Howard Brumley and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Leola Snider of Asheboro. He was preceded in death by his wife, infant daughter, Elizabeth Maxine Kennedy; grandson, John David Brumley; parents, Luther and Nettie Garner Kennedy; sister, Cassie Lineberry; brothers, Sidney, Huey and Hardin Kennedy. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Daniel Gregory. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
