Mrs. Holly Jeffus-Thomas, age 52, of 718 Greyrock Rd., died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Moses H. Cone Hospital after a sudden illness. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Oliver Jeffus and Rep. Margaret "Maggie" Moore Jeffus-Thompson, who survives, and was married for over 14 years to Gregory F. Thomas, who survives. She attended Grimsley High School, where she was the President of her Sophomore class and President of Euterpe. She was formerly employed with the Greensboro Convention and Visitor Bureau and later moved to the Burlington Convention and Visitor Bureau, where she was the Executive Director. She was very active in Alamance "Mommies" and Alamance County Parents of Multiples ACPOM and was formerly involved in the Burlington Rotary Club, Greensboro Community Theatre, RAZZ MA TAZZ Musical Revue Company Alumni, Alamance Children's Theater, Grimsley Whirlie Alumni and Johnny Lucas Stables Riding Academy. She was a member of Starmount Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. Holly was a very loving daughter, wife and mother. Holly is survived by her husband of the home; twin daughters, Amanda Faith Thomas and Samantha Nicole Thomas of the home; her mother and stepfather, Ted J. Thompson, of Greensboro; a brother, Edward Jeffus; an aunt, Colleen Moore Griffith; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Starmount Presbyterian Church, 3501 W. Market St, Greensboro, by Rev. John Odom. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, 2205 S. Church St., Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to an educational fund for Amanda and Samantha Thomas, in care of their FAT CAT account at SECU, P.O. Box 328, Whitsett, NC 27377.
