Hilda Gray Patricia Windsor “Pat” Jones, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Randolph County on May 12, 1946 to the late John Willie and Hazel Frances Kivett Windsor and was the wife of 59 years to Aaron Lee Jones who survives.
Pat loved the Lord and was a faithful and longtime member of Glen Raven Baptist Church. She was known for her kind and gentle spirit, always offering encouragement when needed and participating in meaningful causes to help anyone she could. Before retiring, she was employed as a bookkeeper and an accountant. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and making connections on Facebook. Pat also enjoyed the company of her cats and occasional trips to the Outer Banks with her family. Most of all, she treasured her role as a grandmother and was known for the deep love she had for her grandchildren. Pat will be remembered for the love she shared and the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron; her daughters, Laurie Farrell (Mark), Christina Edwards (Joey); grandchildren, Jamie Farrell, Joe Edwards, Lauren Farrell, and Emily Edwards; sister, Betty Graves; brother, Larry Windsor (Susan), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Andrews with the burial to follow at Apple’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at her daughter Laurie’s residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001 or online at https://alzfdn.org/donate/.
