She had a fulfilling career as a cake decorator at Winn-Dixie, where her creative talents received her several awards and recognition. Grey was an active member of Graham Wesleyan Church, contributing as a choir member, nursery worker, former church treasurer and board member. She also held fond memories of her upbringing at CrossWay Church in Altamahaw where she grew up and was attending when she was able.
Grey leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters, Shirley Whitesell and husband Ronnie, Greta Blalock and husband Randall, and Amy Harvell and husband Howard, Jr. "Punk."; her cherished grandchildren, Caleb Whitesell, Jacob Whitesell, Hannah Blalock and fiancé Nick Holowicki, Blake Harvell and wife Madison and Meaghan Harris and husband Dallas; a great-grandson, Hendrick Harris; her sisters, Betty Hughes and Edith Stuart; brothers, Doug Cozart and wife Rhonda and Tony Cozart and wife Rhonda; her sisters-in-law, Norma Cozart and Elaine Strickland; brothers-in-law, Steve Stout and Marvin Stout and wife Susan; along with many nieces and nephews.
