Hilda Durham

Mrs. Hilda Phillips Durham, 83, of 2232 Mathis Trail, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at her home after a critical illness of one week. A native of Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Percy Phillips and the late Bertha Murphy Phillips and was married to Carl Branson Durham, who survives. She was retired from Roses Department Store and was a member of St. Lukes Methodist Church. Mrs. Durham is survived by her husband of the home; a daughter, Cynthia Davis and her husband, Kendell, of Burlington; a son, Douglas Lynn Durham of Burlington; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Gregory Phillips Durham. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gene Ferrell. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 Thursday afternoon, prior to the service, and other times at the home.
