Herman Cook

Elon, NC Mr. Herman J. Cook, age 79, of 199 Bouldin Rd. in Elon went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, at 8:40 p.m., on Saturday, May 31, 2008. A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Pauline Shore Cook, and the son of Dora Brown and Robert D. Cook, both deceased. Survivors other than his wife include his daughter Nancy Johnson and husband Richard, of Burlington; two sons Danny Cook and wife Kelly, of Gibsonville, and David Cook and wife Rhonna, of Burlington; grandchildren: Candy Johnson, Robbie Cook, Luke Cook, Madison Cook, Charlie Sheffield and wife Mindy, Sean Vernon, J.J. French, Amber French, and Travis Duggins; sister Louise Arnold and husband Oscar, and one brother: Harvey Lee Cook, and wife Marcell. He was also expecting his first great grandson, Brandin Michael. He also had a special dog and friend, Taco. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gladys Ridgney, and three brothers: Albert Cook, Shelton Cook, and Clay Cook The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker, and Reverend Walter Jones, and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
