Herbert Barber, Jr.

Herbert "Herbie" Tate Barber, Jr., 58, passed away at his home Friday, July 17, 2015. He was born June 19, 1957 in Alamance County to the late Herbert T. Barber, Sr. and the late Julia Terrell Barber. He worked for the Alamance Burlington School System and prior to that for Burlington Industries Pioneer Plant. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter Kristi Norris and husband Kenneth of Graham; a son Herbert "Herbie" T. Barber III and his wife Marissa Miller of Burlington; girlfriend Sherry Howe of the home; a grandson Brandan Hill and a brother Barry Barber and his wife Annette of Hurdle Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Faye B. Sharpe. The graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
