Henry Troxler

BURLINGTON- Mr. Henry Louis Troxler, 71, of 1718 Erwin Ave., died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Ira Lee Troxler and the late Lamer Stockard Troxler and was married for over 42 years to Mrs. Shirley Carden Troxler, who survives. He was employed in the steel industry for over 50 years, first with Piedmont Metals and later retiring from Contract Steel Inc. He was a former member of Fairview United Methodist Church and was attending Bethlehem Christian Church. Mr. Troxler is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Lisa Troxler Watkins and her husband, Tony, and Cheryl McKinney and her husband, Jimmy, all of Burlington; two sons, Howard Troxler and his wife, Lynn Casey, of St. Petersburg, FL and Brent Troxler; five grandchildren, John Thomas Wesson, Krystal Moon and her husband, David, James Wesson, Josh Cecil and Kendall McKinney; four great grandchildren, Austin Wesson, Hailey Wesson, Alana Moon and Ryan Moon; a sister, Helen Sheets and her husband, Charles, of Stoney Creek; and a brother, George Troxler and his wife, Kay, of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Peggy Thompson. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dave Gilbert. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home of his daughter, Cheryl McKinney, 510 Willie Pace Rd., Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
