Helen Vaughn

Helen Lee Vaughn, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Huntsville, AL to the late Claude E. and Ruby Loring Lee and was married to Gilbert D. Vaughn who survives. She retired from AT&T and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of the home; children, Wilkie Cheek and his wife Hilda of Elon, James Cheek and his wife Bonnie of Burlington, Rebecca Martin and her husband Kenneth of Burlington; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lee Vaughn of Burlington and brothers, Carroll C. Lee of Winston-Salem and Claude E. Lee of Sun City, AZ. A private graveside service was held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
