Helen Simmons

Helen Everlyn Simmons, 77, of Elon, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Alamance Health Care. Ms. Simmons was born in Caswell County to the late Jessie Gold and Minnie Wright Simmons. She worked for Kayser- Roth Hosiery for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three sisters, Mabel J. Simmons of Graham, Jane S. Wray of Reidsville, and Lois A. Simmons of Elon. One brother, Jessie James Simmons of Graham; and two nephews. The funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Michael Shannon. Interment will follow at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 3:15 - 3:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wish to express appreciation to the staff and its employees of Alamance Health Care for all their loving care.
