Helen Wagoner Jarrett, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on July 11, 1941 in Guilford County to the late John William Wagoner and Dorene Elizabeth Lackey Wagoner, and was the wife to the late Robert Lee Jarrett who died in 2012.
Helen retired from Central Carolina Warehouse and was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, going shopping, and collecting red cardinals. But most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Jarrett Greeson and husband Scott; a daughter-in-law, Laura Jarrett; grandchildren, Kenny Jarrett and wife Kylee, Scarlett Jarrett and significant other Austin Stepp, Avery Greeson and Amber Greeson; great grandchildren, Evie Jarrett, Owen Jarrett and Kendall Stepp; several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Kenneth W. Jarrett; and brothers, Harry James “Butch” Wagoner and John Wayne Wagoner.
The family would like to express how much they appreciate all the loving care and compassion that was shown to Helen during her illness by a special cousin, Gail Crawford. The support that Gail gave to our family we will never forget.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Helen will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10am to 10:45am Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the daughters home.
