Helen Foster

Helen Boswell Foster, age 91, passed away at her home on Monday, March 28, 2011. Born in Caswell County on April 18, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Myrtle Boswell and the wife of the late John Mack Foster. She was a member of Union Ridge Church. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Foster Page and husband Roger of Burlington, Sybil Foster Shropshire and husband Richard, also of Burlington; grandson, Wesley Page and wife Kimberly of Burlington; sisters, Erma B. Pinkston and Louise B. Hooper and husband Raney "Buck"; brother, Eugene E. Boswell and wife Edith; brothers-in-law, Charlie Pyles and Floyd Ingold and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sisters, Ann B. Pyles and Irene B. Ingold and a brother-in-law, Julius Pinkston. The funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, March 31, 2011 Union Ridge Church by Rev. Dan Ficklin and Rev. Jim Rosser with the burial to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church after the service and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Ridge Church Activity Center, 115 Altamahaw-Union Ridge Rd., Burlington, NC 27217 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance/Caswell, 915 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. The family would like to thank the special caregivers and to Hospice of Alamance/Caswell for the wonderful care during her illness and final days.
