Helen Johnson Clark, 86, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Hospice Home after several years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was daughter of the late William Guy and Ossie Hanford Johnson and was the wife of 61 years to the late Lenwood Eugene Clark. Helen was a member of East Burlington Presbyterian Church and attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was an educator for over 25 years and served as principal at Turrentine Middle School for 14 years. She enjoyed life, enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to travel. Helen is survived by her five children, Lynne Worth and her husband, Hal, of Raleigh, Tracy Johnson and her husband, Tim, of Burlington, Kim Clark and his wife, Beth, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Louann Reavis and her husband, Chuck, of Burlington and Jennifer Smith of Burlington; six grandchildren, Jason Laughinghouse, Bradley Johnson, Alex Johnson, Katie Lindley, Jackson Clark and Grey Clark; sister, Barbara Hunt; brother, Jim Johnson and wife, Rae and uncle, Tom Hanford. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; brothers, William "Billy" Johnson and Jack Johnson and a sister, Betty Johnson. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00PM, Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
