Helen Barnhart

Helen Jeanette Nott Nall Barnhart, 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Alamance County to the late Dr. Earl Irving "E.I." Nott and Mary LaVyze Ball Nott and was married to the late Jack A. Nall. Helen was a retired middle school teacher and worked as the manager of the Maternity Warehouse until the store closed in 2001, she was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Dale Herring, Aimee and Bob Rombach, Jan and Dan Thompson, Joy and Michael Wilburn, Kimrey and Mark Butcher; sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Maria Meredith, Earl and Wendy Meredith; grandchildren, Allison Rombach, Kelsey Thompson, Bobby Rombach, Jack Wilburn, Meleah Wilburn, Nathan Butcher and Gracesyn Thompson; step grandchildren, Christopher Wilburn, Jenna Valentine, Jake Valentine, Max Valentine and Madison Valentine; great grandchildren, Brantley Wilburn and Jordan Valentine. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant brother, John Ebert Nott and baby brother, Irving Nott, Jr. The funeral service will be held 3:00pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve Hinton with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home and other times at Joy Wilburn's home. The family would like to say "Thank You" to Helen's caregivers, Pat Adkins, Ruby Atkins and Ann Whittington; the staff at Springview Assisted Living and the staff and nurses at the Hospice Home for all their loving care and support during their mothers' illness.
