Hazel Hilton

Graham-Hazel Leota Murph Hilton, 86 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 5, 2017. She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of the late John William Murph and Ruby Daughtry Murph.
Hazel worked in textiles for many years at the Burlington Industries, Pioneer Plant and Cone Mills. She worked for Twin Lakes for 17 years before her retirement and was of the Baptist faith. Hazel loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always had a sweet smile and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her son, Robert Lewis Hilton and wife, Deborah of Elon; grandchildren, Joni Briana Hilton, Robert Cook and Fiance, Brittney Ayscue and Taylor McKay Hilton; great grandchildren, Nathan Hunter Cook and McKenzie Ayscue Cook; sisters, Mary Ledford and husband, David of Whitsett and Daisy Murph of Whitsett. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Johnny Enos Hilton and Jerry Ronald "Buck" Hilton, Jr.; sister, Nancy Hudson and brothers, J. W. Murph, Robert "Bob" Murph, Woodrow Murph., David Murph and Richard "Cotton" Murph.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Peak Resources for their loving care for Hazel over these past few years.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by layman, Eric G. Rudd. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. The interment will be at Alamance Memorial Park.
