Hazel Michael Edmonds, 91, passed away Monday February 8, 2021 at Parkview Health and Rehabilitation. She was born November 19, 1929 in Guilford County to the late Elza Rankin and Ola Watkins Michael and was married to the late Thomas Jackson “Jack” Edmonds who passed away in 2010. Hazel retired from Engineered Plastics and she was a member of Brown Wesleyan Church now Hope River Church. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Making ceramic figures was one of the things she enjoyed along with spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Lonny) Kylander, Tammy (Jason) Steinert, Sandy (Tim) Wheeley; sisters, Nancy Roberts and Ava Riley; six grandchildren, eleven great grand children and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; daughter, Debra Edmonds; granddaughter, Amy Kylander; great grandson, Logan Wyatt Baldwin; brothers, Lonnie Michael, Fred Michael, Worth Michael, Glenn Michael; sisters, Edna Tippet, Ruby McKeithan and Mozelle Mitchell.
The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Pope. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. You are invited to attend the service using social distancing and masks or view it online at the funeral home’s website. Hazel will be available for viewing 9:00 AM to 1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home.
