Harvey Andrews

Harvey Dean Andrews, 75, of 3521 Old Julian Rd. died Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of the late Glenda Belvin Andrews for 47 years and son of the late Albert Monroe and Lillian Rockett Andrews. He was a native of Guilford county, a US Army Veteran, an active member of Mt. Hope United Church Of Christ, and was a self-employed commercial insulation contractor. Dean had a love for golf and all other sports and for woodworking, but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his daughter, Gail Andrews Clayton and her husband Ken of Midlothian, VA; son, Barry Andrews and his wife Dana of Elloree, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Clayton, Brandon Clayton, Whitney Andrews, and Michael Dean Andrews; sister, Edith Swaney. He was also preceded in death by a, son, Michael Dean Andrews, sisters, Louise Andrews, Doris Swaney , brothers, Harry Andrews, Ted Andrews, Billy Andrews, and Ben Andrews. The funeral service will be at 11:00am Saturday at Mt Hope United Church of Christ with the Rev. Walter R. Patten Ph.D. Officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8pm at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Mt.
