Harriet Johnson

Harriet W. Johnson, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at The Oaks of Alamance. A native of Guilford County, she was born October 6, 1928 to the late Percy E. and Hattie Welborn Weaver and was the wife of the late Jesse D. Johnson, Sr. Harriet was a homemaker and mother of five. She lived most of her life in Browns Summit. She is survived by her daughters, Hattie Gerringer and husband Don of Whitsett, Susan Yost and husband Richard of Ormond Beach, FL; a son, David Johnson and wife Karen of Gibsonville; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Angela Wyrick; son, Jesse D. Johnson, Jr.; four sisters and three brothers. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27217.
