Harriet Bolick

Mrs. Harriett Sharpe Bolick, 93, went to her Heavenly Home on July 17, 2017.
She was born November 3, 1923 to Annie Elizabeth and Alphaeus C. Sharpe. She was a native of McLeansville, NC in Guilford County. She was employed by Southland Hosiery Mills in Greesnboro, NC and Bell South (AT&T) in Greensboro, NC. Harriet was married to her high school sweetheart, Emery Bolick, for 52 years. After the birth of their first child she became a full time homemaker. She belonged to the Home Demonstration Club of Guilford County and taught a Sunday School class for young children for many years. Harriet enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, gardening, reading and writing poetry and the history of the Sharpe family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, 8 sisters, her husband Emery James Bolick, her oldest son Larry James Bolick and great grandson Adam Wells. Harriet is survived by her son Emery Wayne Bolick and wife Linda; daughter Brenda B. Urban and husband Edmund; daughter Patricia (Patty) B. Bristow and husband David; daughter-in-law Betty G. Bolick; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held 11:30 AM Friday at Mebane St. Church of Christ by Mr. Terry Rikard. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
