Harold Perkins

Harold Gene Perkins, 55, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on July 26th, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. A native of Kentucky, he was the son of the late Phillip Gene Perkins and Betty Carolyn Gilliam.

Gene proudly served in the US Marines where he was able to travel all over the world.  His passion was his family and he was dedicated to making them laugh.  He enjoyed vacations and playing game nights with his family. Gene was a master story teller and an avid sports fan.

Gene is survived by his wife, Amie Pendergraph Perkins of the home; children: Randy Rose (Ashley), Bailey Perkins (John), Ethan Perkins, Declan Perkins and Emmery Perkins; grandchildren: Kyra, Kayden, Kylee and Kennedy; sister, Lisa McLish; brother, Rodney Perkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Haw River United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Laura Kalau and Rev. Jeanne Neal officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
