Harold Blalock

Haw River-Harold James Blalock, 69 passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of James Albert and Louise Mabel Thompson Blalock both surviving. He was the husband of the late Lake Wrenn Blalock.

Harold retired from GE in Mebane. He served in the US Army National Guard and retired from Haw River Fire Department. He also served for 15 fifteen years with the Alamance County Rescue Department. Harold was also an avid Tar Heel Basketball fan.

He is survived by his parents of Mebane; daughter, Candice Harrod and husband, John; grandchildren, Kathryn Harrod, Truman and Lawson Moore; sisters, Lisa Moore and husband, David of Cedar Grove and Ann Phillippie and husband, Mark of Graham; step sons, John Moore and wife, Allie of Texas and Warren Moore.

The funeral service will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Frederick Bunts. The burial will follow at Haw River City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:45-10:45am at the funeral home. The service will be lived streamed on the funeral home website.
