Harden Monroe Robbins, Sr., 87, of 1404 Terrywood Mobile Home Park lot 206 passed away Saturday April 7, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Dimple Kathleen Ruppert Robbins for sixty-three years. He was the son of the late Walter Clarence and Melissa Fannie Woodie Robbins. Harden was a native of Shull Mills, NC, retired from Mebane Lumber Company after almost twenty years of service and served in the U.S. Army during WW II earning three bronze stars and a purple heart. Survivors include his wife of the home, daughters; Peggy Edwards and her husband Lonnie of Galax, VA, Edna Johnson and her husband Larry of Graham, Helen Wade of Burlington, JoAnn Moore and her husband James of Granite Falls, Mary Avery and her husband Gene of Lenoir, Judy Robbins of Burlington, sons; Harden M. Robbins, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Burlington, James William Robbins and his wife Rachel of Lenoir, Dennis James Robbins and his wife Linda of Snow Camp, thirty-seven grandchildren and sixty-one great grandchildren, twenty-two great great grandchildren and four great great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Everette Robbins, Bill Robbins Odell Robbins and Issac Robbins. There will be a celebration of his life 11:00 AM Monday at The Peoples Church at 303 W. Crawford St. in Mebane by Rev. J.R. Hill. The family will receive friends from 10:00 10:45 Monday prior to the service and at other times at the home. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is serving the family.
