Mrs. Hallie Mae Foster Turner, 87, of Southern Seasons Family Care of Vaughn Rd., died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late William Ernest Foster and the late Bessie Minor Foster and was married to the late Joe Henry Turner, who died in 1990. She was first employed at May Hosiery and the later retired from Collins Aikman. She attended Riverdale Baptist Church. Mrs. Turner is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Turner Huff and her husband, William Bill, of Burlington; a granddaughter, Shannon Loy and her husband, Donald; two great granddaughters, Shania Loy and Savanah Loy; a brother, Robert H. "Bob" Foster of Gibsonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Katheryn Foster Sykes and Nadine Foster Steele; and two brothers, William Thomas "Pete" Foster and Dallie Lee Babe Foster. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jim Hall and the Rev. Stacy Hall. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
