Gwynn May Lewis-Dail

Gwynn received her accounting degree from Greensboro College. She was the owner and operator of G&G Accounting; she worked part-time at Porterland Design in Durham as their bookkeeper; formerly worked with Duke Power, the emergency room at ARMC and with Authoracare.  She attended Lamb’s Chapel; enjoyed crocheting, traveling and going on cruises, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.  Gwynn was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who will be dearly missed. 

Survivors other than her father, Rickey May, include a daughter, Christa May; a son, Hunter Lewis and wife Kaitlin; granddaughter, Chrislyn May; grandson, Grant Hunter Lewis; a brother, Todd May and wife J.J.; a foster brother, Marshall Russell and wife Desiree; nieces and nephews, Yantes May, Jack May, Kamryn Russell and Serenity Russell; and her canine companion, Lucy. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Thomas Lewis who died in 2002 and Gregory “Greg” Steven Dail who died 2020; and her mother, Christy McGowan May.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Andy Clapp with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  Gwynn will be available for viewing from noon to 5:00pm Monday and the family will receive friends from noon to 1:45pm Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
