Burlington-Gregory Francis Mussell , 70, passed from this life on May 8, 2018. He was a native of Mobile Alabama, born on August 15, 1947. He graduated from McGill Institute in 1965 and moved with his family to Atlanta in 1967. Greg graduated from Georgia State University, receiving a Bachelors of Business Administration in 1971. He spent most of his career working in the transportation industry as a purchasing, licensing and tax expert. Some of the firms he worked for include: Hertz/Penske, United Parcel Service, Epes Transport System, Builders Transport and Greenwood Motor Line.
Greg was an avid professional sports fan. He was especially passionate about his Atlanta teams: the Falcons and Braves. He also enjoyed fantasy football, bowling, history, gambling and cruising. Greg was an award winning American Red Cross volunteer and a Hospice volunteer. He had an ear to ear grin that would light up a room. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
Greg is preceded in death by his father: Walter Edward Mussell, Sr., his mother: Rita Lohmeier Mussell and his brother: Dr. Mark Adrian Mussell (Holly). He is survived by his three brothers: Walter Edward Mussell, Jr. (Ellen), Christopher Joseph Mussell (Barbara) and Stephen Paul Mussell (Brenda). Also by his four sisters: Shelby Mussell Cox (Clint), Judith Mussell Naylor, Maria Mussell Newman (Christopher), Anne Mussell Power (Thomas) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
