Grady Workman III

Mr. Grady Ray Workman III, age 74, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Medical University Hospital of South Carolina in Charleston after a sudden illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Grady Commodore Workman, Jr. and Mildred Yarborough Workman. Grady owned and operated DeGe Inc. for over 39 years. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, a trustee keyholder with Siloam Missionary Homes and was also very active with Bill Rice Ministries and Jesse W. Crooks Ministries.
Mr. Workman is survived by his three sons, Steve Workman and wife, Michelle, of Apex, Mike Workman and wife, Carole, of Burlington and Len Workman and wife, Angie, of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Ashley Bullock, Jennifer Strange, Stephen Workman, Tara Workman, Abby Surratt, Jordan Workman and Whitney Workman; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Caulder of Graham and Glenda Workman of Charleston; and two brothers, Steve Workman of Graham and Charlie Workman of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Michael Workman.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Riverside Baptist Church by Rev. Bob Stephenson, Rev. Larry George and Rev. Sam Foster. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 PM Saturday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "25th Aniversary House" with Siloam Missionary Homes, 1053 Quakenbush Rd., Snow Camp, NC 27349.
