Grady Sumner, Sr.

Haw River Grady Dale Sumner, Sr., 50, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 5, 2013. Dale passed away suddenly at his home. He was born in Alamance County to the late Grady Taylor Sumner and the late Alice Marie Lassiter Sumner. Dale was an avid Tar Heel Fan and attended Faith Christian Church in Hillsborough. Survivors include his daughters, Alice Dale Sumner Boone, Brandie Sumner Adam and Savannah Sumner; son, Grady Dale "D.J." Sumner, Jr.; sister, Diane Richard Phillips; brothers, Gerald Renee Sumner and Randy Sumner; grandchildren, Tationna Love, Caden Love, Zaelyn Love, Zoey Robertson, Hannah Robertson and Balee Smith; special cousin, Howard Rogers and all the kids on the hill. The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, April 8, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Bradford with burial to follow in Haw River Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 1:00pm to 1:45pm Monday prior to the service and other times at his sister's home, Diane Phillips, 134 Hill Street, Haw River, NC 27258.
